Application Process and Deadlines
The application fee for Columbia University is $80 and the deposit is $500. Students applying must have completed 4 years in each of the following subjects: science, english, foreign language, history and math (Naviance). As for recommendations, the University discourages any recommendations except from high school teachers and counselors, but if any, the recommendation needs to be filled out on personal stationary (Columbia University in the City). The early decison application is due Novemeber 1st and the University will notify students of acceptance by December 15. The regular application is due January 1st. SAT reasoning or ACT score report is due February 1st and the SAT subject score report is due February 1st. Columbia will notify a student of acceptance by April 1st and the student must accept by May 1st. International student applications for fall semester deadline is Janurary 1st (Big Future).
